UIL Solo and Ensemble contest

Folks, be sure you are working daily to learn your solo. Do not procrastinate!!! Talk to me to schedule an after-school time to get help on your solo. February 9th will get here before you know it.

Back to the Rat Race!

Well, it's not really a rat race. Things are moving along well at Lake View. I'm looking forward to a productive and exciting semester. We've got UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest, Dinner Theater, UIL Contest, the Spring Trip to Houston, the Spring Concert, and Graduation to look forward to this semester. It'll be over before we know it.

Let's work hard and enjoy the ride!

What a week!

What a week we had last week! We had our Christmas Concert on Tuesday night, the Show Choir performed at the Goliad Faculty Christmas party on Wednesday night, the Varsity Choir performed at Myrtlewood Estates and Royal Estates on Thursday morning, the Show Choir performed at Baptist Memorials and Rio Concho Manor on Thursday afternoon, and the Varsity Choir caroled in the halls at Lake View on Friday morning. It was a very tiring week, but also very rewarding. Good job, Lake View choirs!

Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone has a wonderful week! Get lots of rest because we have a lot of work to do when we return on the 26th of November. I plan to eat lots of turkey and watch some football!

Cookie Dough fundraiser

Don't forget that the cookie dough fundraiser is due this Friday, November 16. Order forms must be turned in Friday so we can have the cookie dough delivered to us by the second week of December--just in time for Christmas! Keep selling!

Region Choir Clinic and Concert

The Region Clinic and Concert was held this past Saturday in Midland. The students had an opportunity to rehearse with excellent conductors and sing with other wonderful students. The concert was great! All in all, it was a very rewarding day for everyone.

Region Choir, Grades 7-9

Congratulations to Justin Sandoval for being named to the 7th-9th grade Region Choir this past Saturday in Midland. Justin placed in the Tenor 2 section. We're going back to Midland this Sautrday for the Region Concert. Jonathan Shouse will be performing witht the high school choir, and Justin will perform with 7th-9th grade Choir. I'm sure it will be a great concert!

While we were in Midland this past Saturday, Justin and Kandace had a contest to see who could eat more. They each ordered a two-pound burger at Michael's, and...well, let me just say, that Kandace may be slender but she sure can put it away. She ate most of the burger, and Justin brought most of it home.
