Dinner Theater this Saturday!
Our annual Dinner Theater will be held this Saturday at 6:30 in the Lincoln Cafetorium. Tickets are $11.00, and can be purchased from choir students or at the door. The Dinner Theater is a presentation of popular music by individual choir students and an ensemble or two. This year's theme is Black and White Love Affair, so you'll hear a lot of songs about love.
The food will be catered by Carino's, and will include Pasta Mia Bowtie with tomato sauce, garden salad, and tea. You'll notice that dessert is not included. That's because we'd like for you to take part in our dessert auction. We'll have lots of pretty and tasty choices!
All the proceeds will go toward the choir trip to Houston in May. So plan an evening of good food and good music.

What a week!
What a week we had last week! We had our Christmas Concert on Tuesday night, the Show Choir performed at the Goliad Faculty Christmas party on Wednesday night, the Varsity Choir performed at Myrtlewood Estates and Royal Estates on Thursday morning, the Show Choir performed at Baptist Memorials and Rio Concho Manor on Thursday afternoon, and the Varsity Choir caroled in the halls at Lake View on Friday morning. It was a very tiring week, but also very rewarding. Good job, Lake View choirs!

Great job!
Today's convocation performance was outstanding! It was great to see all the music groups from both high schools join together for this performance. Did you see how excited Dr. Bonds was after the performance? She led the way in giving you the standing ovation.
The entire convocation was a great start to the school year. Now it's back to work!

Convocation
Here is the information for the convocation which will be held August 16th at 9:00 AM in the Junell Center on the campus of Angelo State University. The convocation is the first back-to-school event for all school district personnel. The public is also invited to attend.
We will perform one song, together with the Central Choir and the bands and orchestras from both high schools.
We will wear our choir uniforms for this performance so we will have to make arrangements for assigning them. I will let you know soon how we will do that.
I need to know how many of you will be able to perform at the convocation. Please email me at jhernandez@saisd.org, or call or text me at 374-3294, or respond with a comment to this post.
Help me get the word out to as many Lake View choir members and alumni as possible.

- Tuesday, August 14, 8:00 - 9:00 PM, Convocation rehearsal at the Central HS choir room.
- Wednesday, August 15, 12:00 - 1:00 PM, Convocation rehearsal at the Junell Center. Lunch will be provided afterward free of charge.
- Thursday, August 16, 9:00 AM, Convocation at the Junell Center. Arrive at 8:30.
